The eCommerce Fulfillment Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of a fast-paced eCommerce Fulfillment Center servicing multiples units and audiences (B2B/B2C), defining and driving all business and operational processes while working with cross-functional teams to define opportunities and challenges. This position will ensure service level agreements and order accuracy goals are met, actively troubleshoot/resolve systematic issues, build and manage a team of fulfillment center associates, and be accountable for meeting the overall ecommerce fulfillment goals of each individual business unit/company serviced through the Guest Worldwide Fulfillment Center (GWWFC). The ideal person for this position will have a deep understanding of consumer ecommerce / marketing and experience with luxury retail.
This role will manage order processing, fulfillment, shipping, inventory, quality control, return processing, and all associated systems needed to do so. An ideal candidate is someone with prior experience with all aspects of fulfillment, especially customer support, inventory management and e-commerce order fulfillment. Ability to think independently and creatively as well as being detail oriented and a team player are required.
Oversee all GWWFC functions from receiving through outbound shipping, working closely with procurement, manufacturing, and marketing teams to ensure needed inventory is available in the GWWFC, both finished products and componentry for kitting, recorded accurately and available for sale.
Coach, train, manage, and hold accountable team of hourly fulfillment center associates, enabling efficient delivery to our customers by leading pick, pack, and ship fulfillment work, all while maintaining a luxury consumer experience mindset.
Ensure items for guest orders are picked accurately and quickly; meeting service and required ship time standards.
Drive fulfillment goals, supporting sales growth through managing team’s impact on total sales and profitability.
Manage storage space, racks, and inventory to accommodate for seasonality of each business.
Review all fulfillment reporting to identify gaps and develop a plan to resolve. Identify and communicate cost saving procedures such as opportunities for automation and/or infrastructure upgrades.
Meet all safety and OSHA requirements.
Establish, document, and communicate clear and consistent processes and procedures by business unit and customer type.
Partner closely with leadership to ensure that inventory control practices are in place and implemented, including regular cycle counts and a year-end inventory.
Work closely with ecommerce/marketing on delivering a luxury retail consumer experience from order to receipt. Takes ownership and pride in improving/maximizing customer experience.
Collaborate closely with Customer Service teams to troubleshoot order discrepancies and resolve customer-facing issues with highest sense of urgency.
Create and develop a customer-centric team.
- 5+ years in a leadership/supervisory role in retail fulfillment, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
5+ years leadership experience in an operations and/or fulfillment center environment, preferably in consumer retail ecommerce.
Successfully demonstrated management of both hourly and salaried teams working in a manufacturing/distribution setting.
Ability to achieve company directed KPIs as they relate to staffing and sales, shipping, performance, including turnaround time (service), productivity, and quality, with accountability for troubleshooting complex systematic issues that could compromise timeliness and accuracy.
Knowledge of retail business fundamentals: department sales trends, inventory management, customer shopping patterns, pricing, promotional strategies, and process efficiency.
Familiarity and working knowledge of US shipping providers UPS, FedEx, and USPS, etc.
Proficiency and working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems, ERPs, and how they interface with front end systems and outbound shipping platforms.
Must have the ability to forecast and manage workloads, including prioritizing orders as needed.
The ability to oversee, monitor, and identify areas for improvement in daily operations, as well as provide excellent customer and partner relations.
Highly organized and process oriented. Skilled in process improvements and workload efficiency.
Excellent communication skills.
Understands customer service fundamentals and building a customer first culture on your team.
