Daytime driving, dock-to-dock deliveries and local/regional routes
Safely transports product to and from from various customers destination points, ensure product is delivered on a timely basis and in good condition. Verify purchase orders are accurate and case counts match bill of ladings. Maintain an adequate level of fuel in the vehicle. Report any equipment discrepancies to the manager for immediate action.
Ensure all logs are completed accurately and submitted on a timely basis according to DOT and center standards.
Develop and establish good relationships with the customers by providing excellent and courteous service.
Ensure complete and accurate reporting utilizing the onboard computer system.
Ensure all vehicle equipment maintenance reports are properly verified and completed for all pre-trip / post-trip inspections.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
High school diploma/GED or the equivalent in work plus three years tractor trailer experience is necessary.
Work is light to medium in nature. Most of the day is spent driving a tractor/trailer unit. Must be able to climb into trailer and load palletized product onto trailer using a power and/or hand jack occasionally. You must be able to communicate clearly to customers.
Activities occur both inside (protection from weather conditions but not temperature changes) and outside.
