This position assists by reviewing and analyzing the credit worthiness of current and potential customer accounts to make recommendations on whether or not to take on the risk, and if so, at what terms.
Assigns responsibility for investigating and verifying financial status of prospective customers applying for credit; prepares documents to substantiate findings; and recommends rejection or approval of applications. Perform as duties are assigned.
Assists with assigning responsibility for investigation of fraud cases and possible legal action and collection of insufficiently funded checks and delinquent bills. Submits delinquent accounts to attorney or outside agency for collection. Perform as duties are assigned.
Ability to analyze and assess new customer credit worthiness, establish credit limitations on customer accounts and handle special credit arrangements and deviations from standard terms of payment. Perform as duties are assigned.
Assists with the oversight of processing and ensures that guidelines are consistently enforced by Credit associates for delinquent accounts, and monitors daily cut-off for credit issues. Perform as duties are assigned.
Ensure operating company credit activities are compliant with Sysco Corporate financial requirements including participating in Credit Audits, Operations Review Audits, and Sarbanes-Oxley Audits. Perform as duties are assigned.
List the minimum required levels of Education, Experience, and Special Skills needed to perform the responsibilities of the position.
Associate’s degree (AA) preferred.
