Position Summary:

Director Creative Services leads the creative and content development organization, ensuring that all content created reinforce Sysco’s brand positioning while upholding exemplary customer service. This role leads all internal and external content development resources. This position is responsible for identifying ROI opportunities, performance tracking and benchmarking, innovating processes, platforms and workflows to ensure that Sysco is realizing efficiencies. This role will also work cross-functionally and at all levels of the organization to understand creative requests and identify pathways of fulfillment.

Primary Responsibility:

  • Building organization and understanding where innovation will help propel it forward

  • Leading, training, coaching and mentoring team members to establish best practices and professional development

  • Create and innovate templates and deciding best use cases

  • Prioritizes work for the team and for other stakeholders and decides which work should be taken

  • Create creative services playbook with best practices, process flows, asset management

  • Accountable for key metrics that directly correlate to strategies and initiatives; i.e. adoption/usage, customer growth and retention and OpCo/customer satisfaction.

  • Responsible for brand positioning and consistency across marketing mix

  • Innovates platforms and processes to continue to develop the creative services team to become a world class in-house agency

Education:

Bachelor’s degree required or relatable work experience in lieu of degree.

Experience:

  • 10+ years leading organizations, ideally creative organizations

  • Expertise in content development tools (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere)

  • Experience in leading people through change and seamlessly integrating cross organizational projects

  • Demonstrated ability in innovating processes, accelerating productivity and analyzing results

Technical Skills:

  • Ability to focus on detail while prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously and working through team members to deliver results

  • Must be able to think conceptually, strategically, and creatively with little oversight or direction (i.e. display intellectual leadership vs. simply “do” or execute something that was developed or directed by someone else)

  • Very comfortable working with ambiguity (e.g. legacy knowledge, redundant or unclear activities) and translating it into clear logical designs.

  • Able to distill complex ideas or approaches to their essence and present them in a simplified, yet compelling manner.

  • Methodical, hands-on, detail-oriented approach to problem solving

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Able to develop clear PowerPoint presentations for executive audiences

  • Able to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, partners, and colleagues

  • Ability to be persuasive and build alignment with all levels and across functions within Sysco including the senior executive team

  • Highly committed to exceeding expectations and continuous improvement

  • Willing and able to take on various types of work

  • Good fit with Sysco corporate culture

  • Ability to adapt to different management, communication, and delivery styles (as needed) for different situations

  • Highly flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities
