JOB SUMMARY
The Director of Sales Enablement will join a team that will be responsible for helping Sysco transform how we enable one of the largest sales organizations in North America through industry-leading best practices and tools.
Specifically, this role will be responsible for standing up a high performing Sales Enablement team and setting the strategic direction for how we will deliver new capabilities that enhance the frontline execution of sales. This role relies on a person’s proven track record of leading a team to implement sales processes, systems, and innovative enablement solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Build and lead a high performing team focused on developing programs that improve and increase the efficiency of sales processes and tools to accelerate sales growth in support of transformation objectives
Identify and translate best practices across industries to develop innovative solutions that deliver business and operational efficiencies
Establish strategic direction and roadmap to deliver new capabilities to the organization aligned with senior sales leadership vision
Develop concept tests to experiment and iterate on programs designed to enable our sales motions and explore new sales channels
Create a framework to measure success, including the development of KPIs, both leading and lagging, to articulate business case and ROI (return on investment) and demonstrate program execution effectiveness
Direct team to design high quality, field ready programs, and tools that can be quickly scaled in a distributed organization
Initiate, develop, and manage strong partnerships with senior sales leadership, technology, marketing, analytics, customer experience, deployment, and training teams to develop and execute solutions
Lead team to design a sales technology ecosystem that enables sales, sales leadership and sales support roles to perform at their highest levels, utilizing Salesforce platform to develop exceptional user experiences working with technology business partners
Education
Bachelor's degree in business or technology concentrations required
Experience
7-10 years of progressive experience working in a project, results-driven role or 3+ years working in a management consulting organization, with demonstrated work experience in sales functions
3+ years of leadership experience in an industry-leading organization
2+ years of experience working in Salesforce platform or other CRM technologies
2+ years of experience implementing technologies
Experience in applying change management and adoption methods
Expert in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required
Distribution industry experience a significant advantage

Executive-level presentation skills, with the ability to tailor communication for specific audiences and the ability to motivate and empower team
Excellent problem-solving skills, using an analytical and logical approach to solve complex problems

Strong business and technical acumen
Work Environment
Must be able to travel to Sysco facilities or operating companies; up to 25% travel may be required in this role
