JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Paralegal is responsible for managing the corporation's service of process for all legal matters; preparing timely responses to legal notices and subpoenas; preparing, managing and tracking litigation hold notices; managing legal tracker database and reporting of outside counsel spend; maintaining deadlines for in-house legal counsel; preparing legal documents and correspondence; assisting with collection and production of relevant documents; assisting with responses to claims from government agencies; preparing correspondence to internal clients, outside counsel and opposing counsel; and other administrative duties as assigned.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage service of process for all legal matters and coordinate timely assignment of same
Manage/prepare timely responses to legal notices and subpoenas
Prepare, manage and track litigation hold notices
Manage legal tracker database
Prepare legal documents, agency responses and legal correspondence
Other administrative matters
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and / or Experience:
BA/BS or Associate's Degree in Paralegal Studies or equivalent field required.
Ten or more years of experience in litigation and/or a corporate/business environment
Professional Skills:
Excellent communication and organizational skills, detail oriented, experience in record keeping and management, aptitude to work collaboratively and the ability to handle and efficiently manage multiple time-sensitive projects, problem-solve, meet aggressive deadlines and work with minimal supervision
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Data Management Systems
A strong client service focus
Sound legal drafting and editing skills
Ability to build strong relationships, both internally and externally, to quickly gain the confidence and respect of others by providing practical, timely and reliable assistance
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
Paralegal certification
