Sysco Senior Project Manager, Infrastructure in HOUSTON, Texas
JOB SUMMARY:
The Sr. Infrastructure Project Manager will coordinate initiatives across multiple product teams. They will utilize agile, as well as, conventional principles and methodologies to ensure successful project implementation. This position will ensure all project teams understand task dependencies, timelines and project implementation strategies. This position will also serve to remove impediments, provide communication across teams and management regarding project status, risks and accomplishments. Takes ownership of and is accountable for a portfolio of products, features, components, or solutions in a team leadership role and associated performance metrics. Engage directly with customers to ensure delivery of a high-quality, robust, and scalable product on a regular basis.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drive team efficiencies through adhering to established standards and principles.
Understand waterfall methodology, SCRUM and Kanban frameworks and demonstrate the ability to apply across complex projects.
Facilitate project team meetings, daily stand-up, iteration planning, pilot/demo, and iteration retrospective/lessons learned meetings to drive successful project implementation and improvement .
Identify critical path tasks and schedule appropriately to meet project goals.
Help leadership to arrange product backlogs to maximize value, cost-cutting initiatives and strategic direction.
Help project teams to avoid and remove obstacles.
Communicate risks, issues, achievements, improvements etc to the appropriate audience.
Assess the maturity of the team and provide guidance on reaching higher levels of project delivery, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable.
Focus on delivering value to the business with continual process improvement.
Promote collaboration between cross-functional teams.
Demonstrate high competency in project management and the execution of multiple large projects, including managing resources across multiple projects to meet goals.
Foster an environment of continuous learning and improving.
Ability to work in a matrix environment; collaborate with supporting teams to achieve goals and ensure solutions are not siloed.
Understand and describe processes and methodologies the team is implementing and be able to discuss their benefits so that the team understands the value that can be achieved.
Organize and facilitate meetings with the business units and project teams to identify and resolve issues, manage risks and communicate project updates.

Responsible and accountable for a portfolio of products, features, components, or solutions in a team leadership role and associated performance metrics.
Develops project teams and staffing plans based on consideration of strategic objectives and vision.
Support senior leadership and finance business partner on IT business case creation.
Considers financial data when making decisions.
Directly communicates with a broad range of business and technical stakeholders across the organization.
Utilizes advanced knowledge to deliver technical presentations to a variety of audiences including key stakeholders and various levels of leadership.
Synthesizes data and other information to arrive at insights and develop compelling stories for team members and/or stakeholders.
Identifies risks and their potential outcomes and implements working solutions.
Serves as an industry authority and thought leader internally.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and / or Experience:
BS Degree in Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering.
Master's Degree or related experience is preferred.
Minimum 10 years of overall IT (or related area) work.
Minimum 5 years of leadership experience.
Agile methodologies experience preferred.
Professional Skills:
Understand and implement agile and/or traditional project management principles and methodologies as required by project type.

Experience in Food Service/Distribution, CPG, or Retail is helpful but not required.
