Role:
This role develops and executes fact base for negotiations and supports the Director of Sourcing to develop a national negotiation strategy for each Sourcing event, with the goal of improving financial results across all Sysco Canada sites on a National level. Negotiations and recommendations include dead net cost, fill rate target, global standards (GS1) compliance, Sysco Brand growth and Sysco site sales support. They are responsible for any cost changes to awarded sourced items during the term of the award agreement.
Role Responsibilities:
Manage national and local sourcing strategies to align with Sysco goals
Coordinate activities of sourcing analysts responsible for the end to end sourcing process for Sysco Canada and sites
Responsible for creation and execution of timelines, sourcing strategies, and negotiation tactics with key stakeholders
Drive analysis building fact base to inform negotiations with support of sourcing analysts
Oversee sourcing data analysis
Synthesize analysis into negotiation strategy
Coordinate supplier workshops as needed
Support Director of Strategic Sourcing in negotiations for sub-set of categories
Manage pre-negotiation activities (e.g., RFI, QA, etc.)
Refine negotiation strategy
Manage supply chain modeling
Develop business case to communicate award recommendation
Provide data support to supplier relations and category management team
Develop component-based Pricing formulas for each awarded category
Manage vendor cost changes utilizing negotiated pricing formulas
Responsible for completion of SRDT (Sourcing Resource Data Template)
Work with Sysco’s Legal Department in Houston on supplier requested addendums to legal documents
Completion of Awards include supplier signatures on all Sysco Legal Documents

Ensure ongoing market price competitiveness throughout the term of the agreement
Collaborate with SMSI (Sysco Merchandising Services International) to explore international sourcing opportunities
Complies with Sysco’s Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.
Understands that their role is critical in creating a safe organization with minimal environmental impact and the value that brings to the organization.
Is willing to drive Environmental, Health and Safety performance by acting as an example and holding their team accountable to complying with EHS programs, policies, and requirements.

Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements (About you):
Minimum five (5+) years of experience in a Merchandising, Category Management, Sales, or Marketing role
Proven experience with fact-based negotiation tactics
Completion of High School
College diploma/degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field required.
Bachelor’s Degree in business, Hospitality, Marketing or related field preferred.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
Requires high level of skill in data analysis
Theoretical knowledge of statistics and quantitative analysis techniques
