Role:

The Field VP, Local Sales Canada is part of the NA Sales COE Leadership Team overseeing the development, effective execution and results of the Local Sales division in Canada. This position will provide strategic leadership for the Regional Local Sales organization with tight linkage to Regional and Corporate leadership teams to enable profitable market share growth of the Local Sales division in Canada. This role will work directly in partnership with the NA Field Sales, Sales Enablement, Sales Operations and Field Marketing support teams to design, develop and deploy market share growth strategies, initiatives and programs with the Regional Local Sales leadership teams.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead Local Sales execution in Canada; annual strategic planning, market share growth initiatives, and enable resources required by local sales through the NA Sales COE division.

  • In partnership with the Regional Presidents, lead Local sales execution through the Region Vice Presidents of Local Sales. Drive market share growth through the continuous improvement and elevation of our Team Selling model.

  • Work cross functionally with Revenue Management, Finance, Supply Chain, Merchandising, Human Resources, Customer Connect and Marketing to develop revenue, margin and operational growth strategies for Canada

  • Ability to effectively lead change and transformational initiatives through sound change management practices that will ensure sustained adoption, including stakeholder engagement across multiple functions

  • Communicates broadly and frequently the company's vision, direction, goals, performance against plan, changes, and expectations through participation in department meetings, one-on-one meetings, and informal conversations with colleagues

  • Complies with Sysco’s Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.

  • Understands both the economic and cultural value that a safe organization with minimal environmental impact brings to an organization.

  • Is willing to drive Environmental, Health and Safety performance by providing necessary resources and holding their team accountable to complying with EHS programs, policies, and requirements.

  • Positively influence and shape a large and inclusive organizational culture to be one that’s productive, vibrant, and a desirable place to work.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements (About you):

  • Minimum 5+ years leading a B2B sales team in a professional sales environment or equivalent experience, with demonstrated success in sales planning, performance management and insights-driven strategy

  • Minimum: Bachelor's degree in a related field

  • Solid analytical problem-solving skills, including familiarity with analyzing reports & deriving insights from data

  • Strong financial acumen and ability to properly plan and execute business plans

  • Demonstrated skills in consultative selling, networking and negotiations

  • Strong communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with internal and external teams

  • Ability to learn the use of proprietary CRM tools for planning and forecasting sales growth

  • Lead a team of high performing colleagues to deliver against deadlines and produce high-quality results (accuracy, thoroughness in the deliverables they are producing)

  • Business and restaurant operations acumen

  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, CRM)

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, including the ability to execute multiple initiatives at the same time

  • Valid driver’s license in good standing with access to a vehicle is required as there may be some ad-hoc travel
