Role:
Support strategies to help drive increased profitability, process efficiency, reduce costs and overall business improvement. Partner with leadership to deliver financial and strategic results through the utilization of Financial Planning & Analysis of best practices. Support corporate FP&A (financial planning & analysis) processes, initiatives and reporting within Operations.
Role Responsibilities:
Create, maintain, and action weekly and monthly key financial reports
Develop, implement and monitor business intelligence tools
Analyze sales, margin and other sources of income to identify opportunities and make recommendations
Provide operating expense analysis compared to budget and provide feedback to stakeholders
Assist in the Region’s Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process and monthly forecasting process
Support leadership in the preparation of presentations on results to the Canadian Support Centre
Support the tower financial reporting team in the monthly close process as required
Provide support cross-functionally with all departments on both local and corporate initiatives
Financial modeling and ad hoc analytics
Complies with Sysco’s Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.
Is willing to work safely with minimal environmental impact and understands the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their Supervisor.
Understands that they play an integral role in their own safety and that of their colleagues and is willing to speak out when hazards are present.

Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements (About you):
Minimum three to five (3-5+) years of job-related experience in financial or business analytics role.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analysis, or related field.
Certified accounting designation preferred.
Expert knowledge of financial and General Ledger (GL) reporting, or similar financial reporting system
Full knowledge of each component in basic financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet)
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
Experience with Cognos, Tableau, or similar front-end reporting tool.
Exceptional mathematical and analytical skills
Awareness of SQL and relational database principals is an asset.
