Role:

The purpose of the Driver is to provide timely and accurate delivery of products to our valued customers. The Driver is required to work in outside weather conditions year round.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Delivering customer orders as per established route and schedules

  • Maintaining a daily trip log

  • Adhering to all Preferred Work Methods and Standard Operating Procedures

  • Understanding, upholding and complying with Sysco’s policies and procedures, e.g. Health and Safety, returns, etc.

  • Carrying out duties in a safe manner as instructed through safety training.

  • Responsible for compliance with all Policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) comprising Sysco’s Food Safety Program, specific for the assigned role.

  • Participating in various meetings/groups (shift, departmental, company and safety)

  • Performing other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager and/ or Supervisors.

Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements:

  • Class AZ Driver’s License with clean Driver’s Abstract

  • English fluency

  • Reliable and safety conscious with a teamwork attitude

  • Medium to high level of physical exertion is required; repetitive lifting to 40 kg

  • Time Management

  • Planning and Organizational skills

  • General knowledge of mechanics and mathematics

  • Basic computer skills (MS Office: Access, Excel, and Word)
