Role:

The purpose of the job is to ensure the accurate, timely and efficient delivery of all customer orders provide overall support to operational functions.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Ensures customer orders are delivered safely, efficiently and within the specified timelines

  • Proper handling of product to maintain quality

  • Validate counts prior to loading and upon delivery

  • Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers

  • Forward all customer inquiries to account Sales Representative

  • Collect COD orders as necessary

  • Follow company policies and SOPs on safety, quality, delivery and returns

  • Comply with all health and safety policies and regulations such as pre-trip inspections

  • Comply with all food safety and HACCP regulations

  • Maintain the overall cleanliness of company vehicle and work environment

  • Complete of all necessary paperwork as required

  • Order selecting frozen product for delivery as needed

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements (About you):

  • High school or related field

  • 3 years’ previous delivery driver experience, preferably in the foodservice industry

  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license required with clean drivers abstract

  • Able to operate a refrigerated vehicle

  • Forklift certified a plus

  • Knowledge of inventory systems and use of scanners

  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills

  • Good knowledge of the city of Vancouver & surrounding areas

  • Previous customer service experience

  • Able to work independently and in a team

  • Solid organizational skills and problem-solving skills

  • Able to work in a cold environment

  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of using general office equipment

  • Able to work overtime as required

  • Must be able to pass a criminal record check upon request.
