SUMMARY:
The Manager, Category Management Cost & Supply Network Analytics will lead a team of analysts responsible for supporting the development of Category Assortment and Strategy, the end-to-end Strategic Sourcing process, and Supplier network optimization. This position is directly responsible for development and management of personnel, researching and identifying process and tool optimization opportunities, and managing the quality output of the team on all analyses and deliverables.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage team of analysts and develop ideas and analyses addressing emerging data and analytics need resulting in optimization of Sysco’s cost and supplier network
Leverage analytics to provide decision support to the following groups: Category Assortment & Strategy, Strategic Sourcing, Logistics & Supply Management, and Field Merchandising management, recapture program effectiveness, and contract compliance
Manage the development, maintenance, and validation of the Sourcing Results Data Template (SRDT). Ensure timely executions of all steady-state SRDT changes related to the details of the existing category agreements
Analyze and approve RFQ/RFP Comparative analysis and Savings calculation/validation
Oversee the development and execution of all ad hoc analyses related to supplier cost and network optimization
Lead analysis for visibility of key cost drivers, pricing trends, historical net costs and RFQ comparative analyses
Train, develop, manage, and support all direct reports to ensure consistency, accuracy, and timeliness of all analyses and reports
Responsible for managing talent pipeline including managing the interviewing process, hiring, on-boarding of new associates, and development of top talent through Sysco’s established Talent Management programs
QUALIFIATIONS:
EDUCATION AND/ OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in business, computer science or equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of degree sufficient to successfully perform essential job functions required; master’s degree a plus
6+ years’ experience in analytics required. Previous management experience required including direct employee supervision and management of large working teams. Category Management experience within a distribution, retail, or wholesale environment preferred.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Exceptional Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, graphing, data connections, and automation using macros and VBA)
Knowledge of database design and management
Experience using Microsoft Access, Tableau, 1010Data, SQL, Visual Basic, and Business Objects (Enterprise Data Warehouse) preferred
Experience managing projects and leading large organizations
