SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE:
Lead the planning and execution of projects supporting Sysco’s Global Supply Chain transformation. Utilize supply chain expertise to partner with business leaders and develop innovative solutions. Leads a team through project execution. (e.g. architecture, design and implementation). Partners with technology team leaders to leverage technology. Prepares and presents project team updates and presentations to communicate approaches, priorities and progress made. Contributes to the development of internal talent for supply chain transformation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan and Lead Supply Chain Transformation Projects and Workstreams
Lead project planning for Supply Chain workstreams and projects (e.g. Order Capture, Fulfillment and Delivery, Supply Planning, Demand Planning)
Lead project execution - create and manage project plans that include all aspects of transformation (e.g. people, process, technology, data). Lead teams through all phases of a project’s lifecycle (e.g. architecture, design, implementation).
Communicate progress. Develop project level updates and presentations to communicate approaches, priorities, and progress. Highly skilled in verbal communications, workshop planning and meeting facilitation.
Innovate and Develop Solutions
Develop innovative solutions to supply chain problems that drive value and business benefit.
Partner with Sysco’s Technology team members to create and define supply chain technology solutions.
Lead and Develop Talent
- Contribute expertise and knowledge towards Supply Chain Transformation team development. Advance team skills in Supply Chain, problem solving, project management and business solution development.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree or related experience in lieu of education (e.g. supply chain, merchandising, wholesale distribution)
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or Business Administration
REQUIRED MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
Five years of experience
Three years supply chain experience – deep experience in select areas of expertise combined with a broad understanding of end-to-end supply chain
Demonstrated leadership experience on multiple cross-functional transformation projects
Two to three years business and/or technology consulting skills of project planning, process re-engineering, and systems integration
ABILITIES AND SKILLS:
Supply chain experience in selected area(s) of expertise (e.g. Inventory Management, Inbound Transportation, Order Management, Order Fulfillment, Delivery)
Broad understanding of end-to-end supply chain and required integration with other functions (e.g. merchandising, sales, customer support, accounting, finance)
Strong influencing skills with the ability to connect in a credible manner with leadership
Able to drive consensus among key stakeholders with diverse needs and interests
Collaborative team player who can synthesize feedback and direction from multiple stakeholders
Develop and maintain trust-based partnership relationships at multiple levels of the organization
Contribute to, and execute stakeholder alignment plans that proactively manage business change
Problems Solving, Planning and Organizing
Strong understanding and demonstrated capability for solving complex problems in a structured way
Strong skills in project planning, process design, and project management
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, adapting to shifting priorities and meeting deadlines
Strong communicator who can create impactful presentations to project sponsors and leaders
Able to appropriately tailor messages synchronize, socialize, and cascade communications
Expertise in Microsoft PowerPoint
Analytics and Measures
Strong skills in business measurement definition and tracking (e.g. KPIs)
Able to construct project business case
Possesses a strong general business acumen
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Expertise in Microsoft Excel
